OneNote and WebDav - has anyone got this to work?

Lucy Hyde-Thomson asked on August 26, 2014 19:50

Hi all,

I am using Kentico 8.1 and have successfully set up WebDav so we can edit Office files directly from the Kentico web site. However I am running into a brick wall with OneNote. Has anyone got this to work? whenever I try to create a new OneNote using my mapped drive I am getting the error "A device attached to the system is not functioning."

I have allowed the file extensions .one and .onetoc2. Is it just a case of adding some more file extensions or am I missing something else?

We are trying to migrate from SharePoint to Kentico where we can save our OneNotes just fine, but this is a stumbling block at the moment.

Cheers, Lucy

Hello Lucy,

This seems to be a general topic and the solution should be to enable the DAV service in Windows. Please read the following article for more details: Enabling the WebClient service in Windows.

Best regards, Martin
