Newsletters

We have just ran into a rather odd situation with Newsletters. We created a dynamic Newsletter and have been sending it out by clicking Send. Everything works great - all the newsletters go out and we are able to able to view the tracking statistics (opens, clicks, etc).

Today we decided to enable the scheduling service for the Newsletter. All the newsletters still went out successfully using the scheduling service but the option to view the tracking statistics for the issue the scheduler sent out was missing. What could be different about it? Its the exact same Newsletter.

What version are you working with? It looks like in 8.1.10 there might have been a but related to this (maybe not). "Some marketing automation actions belonging to a process triggered by activity, e.g. the ‘Send newsletter issue’ action, didn’t work under certain conditions."

We are using v8.1 (we haven't applied any hotfixes). Its very peculiar that sending it through the service vs through the application would make a difference.

As the bug stated it was dependent on an action, essentially the button click. With the service, you wouldn't get that button click event so I could see it might be an issue.
