New Website error - The site has not been configured yet.

Leo Leme asked on July 5, 2021 23:24

Hello, it should be a simple fix, but I'm not finding the solution.

I just installed Kentico 13 and created a blank website. I've created one Page Type and a Page over that Page Type. I've adjusted the connection strings on both, adm and website.

The problems is that when I run the website, I get this message "The site has not been configured yet."

The Admin webapplication is working fine, but in the Pages application, the page of that only Page Type doesn't show anything.

What am I missing here ?

Thanks

You'll need to update your MVC site to handle that page type and routing. I'd suggest starting here with the documentation and going through it so you're familiar with what needs to be done.

In addition to Brenden -

You can start with the short 10-page tutorial mentioned here You can start from the 3rd page as you have already done 1 and 2.

Hello, guys, after a iisreset it all showed up.

Well, almost everything except when I'm in the Pages Application and click in the Page Design (where the page should show and I could add widgets, etc) and it doesn't show anything. It stays blank. The same page in the website shows perfectly.

Would you know why ?

Thanks

I'd suggest again completing your basics with a short 10-page tutorial. Link

Hello, Sunil !

I've went through that tutorial already and it works.

The situation here is where I've installed K13 again with an empty website and wanted to configure everything by myself so I would test my knowledge. Understanding where I missed or did a bad configuration is what I prefer so I'll be learning with my mistakes.

If you have no idea where the problem is, it's ok. I'll let you know if I find the solution.

Thanks

Make sure CMSHashStringSalt matches with web.config of the Xperience project. Screenshot
