Multi Factor Authentication

Olivier Cozette asked on January 15, 2016 19:53

Hello,

did someone tried yet to install Google Authenticator on Kentico? or other Open Source / free app. to 2FA ? Any hints ?

Or the Kentico Multi-factor Authentication using SMS ?
(using only the android app is not enough for this case)

Thanks !

Juan

Hello Juan, I will be posting a DevNet article on this later today and will update this post with a link when it is ready. I will preface this by saying that we use our own logic to generate tokens and we do not expose these methods to be able to override how the logic works, so the method I provide ignores our built in algorithms entirely. SMS multifactor is much more simple and the article will go over this as well. Again i will send a reply here with the link to the article as soon as I post it.

Edit: Adding Google Authenticator support to Kentico logon

I wanted to integrate multi-factor auth and it worked just fine. Thank you so much Timothy for the brief article.
