Moving items in content tree

We have a user that is raising this issue:

Consistently, it takes 1-2 times for me to move an item normally. The first 1-2 times, it will ask if I'm sure that I want to move the page, I click yes, and it denies me permission. After 1-2 times, I can move it normally. Might be a CMS bug to check with Kentico about...

Typically not a bug. There are permissions in which page types can and cannot be placed below other page types. See this documentation for more information. It could also be an issue with page type scopes, which is covered in the documentation I've provided.

I'd also suggest checking the event log to see what the error being recorded is, this should help you troubleshoot the problem some more.

Hi,

if you can't figure out the the error you could also try using Kentico's impersonation feature. This allows you to log in as another user without sharing his/her credentials. (this only works if the other user isn't a global administrator though).
