Mobile Device Redirection (Tablet go to Large URL)

Astro Radio New Media asked on May 25, 2015 06:34

Hi, we done built a website with 2 template. Desktop and mobile version. Desktop version we use responsive design to cater desktop and tablet user. We dont have problem to redirect iPad user to desktop version but we had problem with an android tablet. We use samsung galaxy tab as test device to access our site and it always redirect to mobile version. We also put samsung galaxy tab user agent inside "Other Large Device(User Agent)" field in Mobile Device Redirection webpart and its not working.

Please guide/help us

Below is the user agent that we used in Mobile Device Redirection

"Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 4.1.1; GT-P5100 Build/JRO03C) AppleWebKit/535.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/18.0.1025.166 Safari/535.19"

I am a bit lost with your explanation. Responsive web design doesn't use redirecting at all, it is one layout that changes depending on device, based on media queries and typically a grid system. Adaptive web design does change which parts of the page are available or it uses redirects. Please clarify on what you are actually doing and the method of doing it so we can offer any help.
