Message Board Moderator

I have a template that is used across multiple sections of a site. On the template I have the message board web part. Is it possible to set the moderators by the section of the site that the template is showing on. Ideally I want the editor for the section to have mod ability but only for their section of the site, not every section that the message board shows up on.

I think you can go to Forums app > select the forum group > select the forum, then you can set the moderators for that forum.

We're using the message board web part which I think is different from the Forum. You can assign moderators in the web part settings, which would work, but the problem is I need to set them per section of the site and not globally.

Sorry, I was confused with those 2. I'm trying some options now and haven't got them to work yet. I'm thinking about making the editor the node owner of that page, and see if using macro of CurrentDocument.NodeOwner for moderator would work, but not yet.
