Media Library Tab in new blog post

Arrate Te asked on May 17, 2017 11:57

Hi everyone,

We have configured an Intranet with Kentico CMS and I'm trying (as Global Administrator) to insert a media file stored in media library in a new blog post, following the documentation:

https://docs.kentico.com/k8/managing-website-content/working-with-files/inserting-media-files-on-a-page#Insertingmediacontentusingtheeditor-Propertiesofmediacontentinsertedusingtheeditor

But I'm unable to see the Media Library Tab in the modal window, even being logged as Global Administrator. Nevertheless, if I try to do the same process through cmsdesk I have no problem to see the tab.

Permissions may have been set at that media library OR on the field at the page type level. I'd check the page type field and see if it is configured to not show that tab. It also depends on how that page types field is setup too. If it's a direct upload or an upload file then you won't see the media library tab.
