Media Library images do not display in Internet Explorer 9

Hi DevNet!

I am totally stumped. I put together a new page on our website and certain images are not displaying in IE9. The images display fine in Firefox/Chrome/Safari (iOS). But not IE9.

The page itself is nothing special...I'm using existing page types/templates.

We are using Kentico V9.

Any idea on how I might troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance!

At quick glance it looks like you might be using a lazy loading plugin for the images? This might be the issue, it might be working with IE9. We don't support back to IE9, only IE10. Maybe do some analytics and see how many folks are using IE9 before you go on a wild goose chase.

Hi Brenden. Thanks for the usual lightning fast response.

I don't think we are using any sort of lazy load script on the site.

IE9 is like the company's global default browser so naturally internal customers are looking at the site using this archaic browser. This is a battle for another day I think.

So why are some images loading on the page (from the same exact "directory" in the Media Library) and not others? I think I'll wait a little before marking your answer as correct and hope someone else out there has had a similar experience and might have another take on the issue.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Another quick glance shows there are quite a few 404's for images on the page you referenced so maybe check out to see if the images are actually on the server and not just cached on your browser.
