We have a K12 MVC site in which links to the media library can be made via the Rich Text editor. When the links are to PDFs or Powerpoint files, they work fine with the Direct Path. When the links are to mp4 or Excel files, they return the message "The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."
I checked the Use Permanent URLs checkbox in Settings > Content > Media and relinked the mp4 and Excel files, but now receive a message saying that the page can't be reached because it "might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address." I believe this is because the URL on the live site uses the Presentation URL (www.[domain].org) while the Permanent Link in the media library uses Site Domain Name (kentico-admin.[domain].org).
I'm told that we should be using Permanent Links instead of Direct Paths, so how can I get the Permanent Link in the media library to point to the Presentation URL instead of the Site Domain Name?
