List all modules used by a site

Joe Souch asked on August 4, 2014 15:28

Is it possible to get a list of all the modules being used be a site?

I'd like to take an export of a site to use for a web template, but when the site was created it included all of the modules available but not all have been used. Instead of going through and evaluating each I was wondering whether there was anything I could do to check which modules modules are required for the site to work and which can be unassigned from the site.

Any help would be great, thank you

Nothing that I'm aware of aside from your knowledge of what the site is using.

Keep in mind if the client or end user wants to change their license or start using features they weren't before and you haven't included that module, they have to go through and re-install it. This could cause problems if they don't have the KIM or access to an instance with their hotfix version. My experience has been the more you try to customize the base instance, the harder it makes it for the client to perform upgrades and such.

I agree with Brenden. I think it's best to include all modules, and then limit what your roles can see. The extra database and disk size the modules take aren't worth the effort.

Thank you Brenden and Yehuda.

I was expecting this but thought better to ask.
