I'm having similar issues. As suggested, I attempted to delete all the user accounts that were loaded when I installed Kentico to ensure I didnt have more than one admin, but I am running into the same error messages as I do when trying to add web parts. Is there a limitation on deleting/destroying users? Is there a limitation on the web parts we can use with a free license? I too am trying to add an editable text web part to a blank master page. I am not using webfarms, as far as I know. The feature in Settings > Versioning & Synch is not enabled.
