kentico12 - Migration of Users, Roles and Workflow

Hi All,

We have done content migration by using kentico wizard tool and it perfectly fine. We have to perform another task for migration such workflows and users and roles from Kentico 11 to Kentico 12. Please suggest whether it’s achievable or not. Thanks in advance.

Are you using Portal mode or MVC? If Portal, they should work as they did in version 11. If using MVC, your content will not not be the same but the users, roles and workflows should be fine.

Hi Brenden,

I am using MVC approach in K12 and K11 is portal engine site. Yup. i want to migrate only users , roles and workflows.

Assuming your workflow will be different because you're using MVC in v12, I'd suggest migrating those manually. The users and roles will be the same but you will have to migrate any custom fields for the users over manually.
