Kentico Translations module - Export target

Hi there,

I hope all is well.

We came across with a client requirement that does not seem to be supported by your Translation module. Basically, the client has a lot of translations in the CMS and we would like to get the existing translations in the XLIFF exported by Kentico. Is this possible? Currently Kentico generates the XLIFF only has the source tag with the English, but not the target tag with the translation. Perhaps there is a setting that can be applied so it exports also the target.

There is no setting because the idea here is to export the source data in XLIFF format and send the files for translation. Then, the translator or translation service will translate the content and add the target elements, so it can be imported back to Kentico with the translated content. What you want to achieve is fully custom need and you will need to create a fully custom module for it.

I understand your point but, based on my experience with localization, I think it should have the target tag too. That would be a nice improvement to add for future versions I guess.
