Kentico Intranet Conversion

Hi, We used Kentico 9 OOB intranet feature http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/intranetadminguide/index.html?_ga=2.214184919.1199903248.1652808734-218283141.1644259550 for our company intranet website. Now we want to convert our intranet to Xperience 13. Looks like there is no Intranet feature anymore for later versions of Kentico and all needs to be built from scratch. Is there a better way to create an intranet using Xperience 13?

Intranet site is the same web site as any other, it just runs on local/closed network. There is no upgrade path as portal engine is no longer supported in Kentico 13. So, this means that you will need to redesign your intranet site from scratch and then using the import toolkit migrate the content from olde site to the new site.
