What do you mean is not working? I just tried it and it is working :-)
Please, always provide a full problem description, steps, etc. Basically as you would be reporting a bug to some developer.
An alternative also would be setting up the Smart search indexes and then selecting them from the list instead of the SQL search (screen shot).

OK, now it makes sense and since I used "a*" in my test - where all the results are expected, it seemed to work correctly. I just used wrong test. I am going to submit this as a bug. As a workaround you can create and use the smart search indexes as mentioned in my previous post.

Thanks

Now we are considering using the listing feature for searching

we have a page type called article and we have added an alternative form

to extend search fields Screen shot

on the listing tab all fields are shown but not the ArticleID field Screen shot

how to show it on the search fields

In this case you need to work with the UniGrid and create an extender. The idea is the same as described in this thread, it is just for the Users app and users listing
