kentico 12 media picker in widget

Hi All,

We have to develop a custom image picker control which can pick and upload image into media folder. Is it something achievable or we can develop for MVC widget? Currently we have already developed a custom image uploader however client want to pick the image from media library once they uploaded. MVC widget didn’t support it so we have to develop my our own. As you know MVC widget is front-end side and media library is back-end side so we worry that it is whether achievable or not.

I believe it is achievable. Check out API documentation for media library.

Hi, we are currently working on several Selectors to be release as part of the Service Pack in June. Media selector is our top priority in this area and we look into enabling the user to select an image from a Media library (from an Inline editor of a Widget as well as from Widget's properties dialog) and also upload an image that is saved to a Media library.

We further plan additional selectors such as Path or Category selector and also general support for opening dialogs so that you can create additional custom selectors.

Thanks for reply. We cannot wait unit june. We have to develop it now as client needing it. Can you help how can i query all media folder and images and show it on the our custom control and user will able to select it and upload it.? Any sample code to query all media folders?
