Image and link urls - urls without domain

Tomasz Czado asked on May 8, 2019 07:17

Hi,

when using Ritch Text Box with Ritch Text Editor, you can add links to other pages (also local pages) or insert image from local media library. All links contains urls which contains domain at the beginning. The problem is that when you move your site into different environment, the links will be broken.

Is there a possibility or do you have a solution that solves that issue?

When you check the actual value saved in the DB, does it have the domain name saved as well? IF yes, please provide full details on the field setup and steps how to reproduce the issue.

Yes, when you save it to database it link has a domain.

Create field as fallows:

  1. Data Type: long text
  2. Form control: Rich text editor
  3. All other settings are left as default

Then edit any page where this field is available. Update this field by inserting link to other internal page.

Display this field somewhere on live site on you MVC (Kentico 12 MVC) application. You'll see, that links contains domain.

Thanks for the details. I was able to reproduce the issue. Sounds like a bug - I have already reported this to our developers. We will do our best to fix this issue into one of the upcoming hotfixes. Sorry for the trouble.
