If parent page is checked out then child page should not checked out.

Me and my colleague works on two different pages,He is developing parent page and I am developing child page(Under the same parent page).If he checked out parent page automatically child pages are also checked out.So I'm unable to develop child pages until he check in.Please give solution for this...

Pages are independent of one another so it doesn't matter if you have a parent checked out and he wants to work on a child. There is no effect of the child based on the parent out of the box. Your configuration or custom code could have an effect on this but out of the box no.

Maybe check into your cache settings or custom code.
