How to work with Kentico

Hello,

I am new to Kentico, can someone tell me how to use the license key to my local visual studio solution. When I am starting the debug process of my solution, kentico redirects me to https://localhost:1469 and given SSL error. I don't know how to proceed further. Kindly help me get rid of this issue.

Hi,
It looks like your Visual studio is set to start the project under SSL. Are you getting the same issue when just browsing to the site using IIS and browser? Or, you need to install a self-signed SSL certificate on your web server - you can find more details on this on the Internet. For example a nice video.

Thanks for your reply. Actually I am running a copy of a production site on my local machine using IIS express and not the application is not hosted on the IIS. When i press F5 under visual studio, it redirect to : https://localhost:1469/ and says "This site can’t provide a secure connection localhost sent an invalid response."

Can you please guide me how to proceed?

Hi,
Check your Visual studio setting for this project and what is set as the startup server/URL - it looks like oyur Visual studio is set to use SSL.

Hi, Thanks for you response. I checked the visual studio settings and the startup server/URL field disabled and the visual studio is not set to use SSL. Please see the attached screenshot. Can you please help me in getting rid of the issue.
