How to manage Event Log settings by config file or somethings like physcialy

Quan Lee asked on May 10, 2022 05:19

Hello guys, I'm using Kentico 13 Because the value for Event log settings will be put value default on each environment. Therefore, I want to manage these settings by physical file or something like that. Are we able to do this?

Also, for the Log metadata changes settings, I have confused about this setting. For example: when I created or updated an object or page in CMS the event log was still recorded even though I had already unchecked this setting in CMS. Could you guys help on this? Thank you so much!

Only SOME of the keys can be maintained in the web.config file, this may not be one of them.

You can manage some of the settings via the web.config file. See more details here.

The metadatathey are talking about is related to the insert, update and delete of the pages and objects. If you make a setting change and are still seeing the same activity, then clear the cache in the System application and try again.
