How to keep data in database from v8 to v9

Hi all,

Before I do upgrade Kentico 8 to 9. I have a question "Can I move my data in database from Kentico 8 to Kentico 9? If yes, How to move?

Kentico's upgrade scripts do perform upgrades on data. In most cases you will have no worries with your custom data after an upgrade. What you should be more worried about are the code files and virtual files like transformations and page templates.

About which data are you asking?

If it's your custom one tables it will stay remain without changes. Any other Kentico related data will be upgraded and your data wont be corrupted.

However my site is running on Azure and I could not run the upgrade tool on Auzre so I have to upgrade on my local then I export/import a full package Kentico 9 from local to Azure. So my question is How to bring the data in custom tables from a site Kentico 8 to a site in Kentico 9 (same site contents and same custom tables)?
