Google Map Api Key

Tao Meng asked on January 4, 2017 15:33

Hi, Guys,

I have the most recent 9 hotfix and I added the API key in the web parts, but it still gives me the same error:

This service requires an API key. For more information on authentication and Google Maps Javascript API services please see

Google Maps API warning: NoApiKeys https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#no-api-keys

Are there additional steps for this to work?

I need to resave the templates that use the google maps web parts for it to work.

Thanks!

No. Assuming you mean hotfix 50 correct? Have you restarted your site/system? Have you enabled the API key? If not, this will still cause the error you're receiving.

Yes I have hotfix 50. I did iisreset, do I need to bounce the server? the key is enabled. Do I need recompile the webpart sort of?

I figured I need to open the templates and configure the webpart and save it, so basically refresh the template for it to work.

Thanks!

The map zooms into the location, but it is not showing the marker, any idea why?

Thanks.

Check out this discussion about a similar problem. Think it depends on what webpart you're using.
