Form Builder System Error

Darek Mucek asked on October 2, 2017 16:58

Hello,

I've come across one of our online form page this morning that is displaying a "system error An error occurred and your request couldn't be completed. Click here to go back to the home page" Why would such an error come up so suddenly?

I've checked the versions tab, page version tab - just about everything that could do with changes made in the last couple days and it seems as the forms haven't been touched for a few months.

I'm not sure where else to look, thoughts?

Thank you

Have you checked the Kentico event logs?

Have you checked the IIS event logs?

Has anything changed on the site aside from content lately?

Thanks Brenden,

After spending a good part of the day, I poked around in the event logs and noticed a custom data table not responding. After digging into that table, it was empty. But I haven't a clue how the data was removed from the table.

Gobblins?

Good call but it's typically a Sasquatch that does the custom table record deletion.

You should be able to look in the event logs for "deleted records" as well to find out why they are missing and if the Sasquatch did it or not.
