Folders under content Tree

Harika Polavaram asked on July 9, 2014 23:55

Hi,

I have some folders under content tree.I unchecked the option not to display them in sitemap or navigation. I built my menu for the site using Hierarchical Viewer. In the properties of that viewer, for where condition, I have specified this, DocumentMenuItemHideInNavigation='False'.

For some reason, my menu still shows the dropdown icon even though all the folders checboxes are checked not to display them in navigation.None of the content from the folders shows up, it is just that icon that shows up next to the menu item.

Can you please let me know if I am missing any other setting?

In your transformations do you have any checking of child pages to hide or display the icon for those child pages? Even though you have checked if they should or shouldn't be hidden from the menu, it won't stop any other checking/processing you have setup.

Does your hierarchical transformation inherit for all levels? You might want to set those to a specific level. My guess is your children pages are showing in navigation as well which is why they are showing

Hi Brenden,

I have one more similar question in nature. I have folders in the content tree. I wanted to pull the names of only the folders but not the files under that folder. Can you please let me know if there is a way to pull just the names of the folders under content tree.

You'd have to base your query or filter off of the cms.folder document type or class.
