Export resource strings (for external translation)

Roland Kirpal asked on March 17, 2016 16:25

Hello,

I need to have custom resource strings (ones I created, in the localization application) exported and translated. I want to have them translated by an external company.

Can I export resource strings into a file? Preferably in an XML-based file format. I know this is possible for documents, they can be exported to XLIFF files. But I couldn't find a possibility to export resource strings.

Roland

Go to the localization application, click the hamburger menu next to actions, in the drop down select export to XML

Zach is correct to just get a pull of the data, however if you are using Translation services, Kentico has a variety of methods to support machine or human translation aside from just an export.

Thank you Zachary,

I completely missed the hamburger menu. That's what I was looking for. :)
