Empty DocumentUrlPath

Chetan Sharma asked on January 29, 2015 11:45

Hi,

Working on Kentico 8.2.2. The DocumentUrlPath is appearing empty when I am looking for a document type in its corresponding view in DataBase Objects/Preview.

Any settings that I am missing?

Thank you CHetan

If your site is not set to allow for extensionless URLs then you will receive that page not found error. You can always just add the .aspx at the end of your URL

Any particular reason you'd use that field over say nodealias or nodealiaspath? The DocumentUrlPath is what is populated in the page's URL tab when you check the "use custom url path" checkbox on the URL tab.

Then you have to see if the DocumentUrlPath is empty or not, if it is use the NodeAliasPath. As I mentioned DocumentUrlPath is only filled out when that box is checked and a value is entered, otherwise it assumes NodeAliasPath is the value to use.

Thanks. NodeAliasPath are link without .aspx extensions. I don't know for some reason/setting url's without .aspx extension are resulting in page not found error.

Any ideas. I know i did some settings in the past.

Thank you

Hello,

The documentation explains what needs to be set in order to use extensionless URLs - please let us know if this does not work as expected.

Best Regards,
Sandro
