My company recently switched from using MailChimp to Kentico to handle all of our email communication. I was noticing that my results were not as good as when I was using Mailchimp, so I decided to test the "Spam Score" of my emails.
I tested the same email in MailChimp and Kentico.
By using MailChimp, the email scored a 9/10, but with Kentico it recived a score 0/10.
I am affraid that Kentico will not give us better results. It appears that configuring a DKIM & SPF would help, but my Network Admin told me that it is a lot of work and I don't have access to those configurations.
Is there something I can do to improve the deliverability rate of our emails?
Thanks
Hi, I would check what are the SMTP server settings. Kentico is not sending the messages on its own - Kentico just passes the message to the SMTP server. Maybe that SMTP server is on some black list or maybe the sender address that is used to send the emails.
I already confirmed that the server and sender address is not blacklisted...
Thanks, I would try using different SMTP server still to see if it will be better or not. Right now, I do not see any connection to Kentico as soon as all the messages are sent out from Kentico to the SMTP server.
Looking at that report it appears as though you should look at the server Kentico is configured to send emails through. Most of the negative scores are being assigned to thinks that should be done on the mail server.
However, you are getting a negative score for not having a plain text part to the message and this is something that Kentico is considering - http://ideas.kentico.com/forums/239189-kentico-product-ideas/suggestions/15226026-plain-text-email-for-email-marketing-templates-and
