Deploying a ver 8.2.43 site to internal test server Error http://requirejs.org/docs/errors.html

Pat Newsome asked on June 2, 2016 22:43

This is a new site on version 8.2 with the last hotfix.

I can run the site fine on by localhost everything renders. When I deploy the bits to a test server. I can log in to the admin but then get a black bar and java script error. http://requirejs.org/docs/errors.html

There is no custom code or scripts in the site. The license key is installed for the localhost domain and the test domain. Any ideas. Initially though this was a DNS error. The site is resolving correctly.

You sure all the files are on the server?

Are these js errors in your browsers debugger like Firebug? If so then clear your browsers cache and/or try an in-private browser to see if this resolves any caching that might be causing problems.

It's occurring in all browsers. FF, Chrome and IE. looking at the response it is getting a 401 (Unauthorized) error. Being thrown by IIS 7 authentication on the site has anonymous authentication and Forms authentication enabled. The App pool is integrated 4.0 running as NetworkService. and NetworkService has been given read/write permission on the folders.

Scoped issue to a permission error. I gave IUSR on the server read write access to web directory solved my problem.
