Custom forum layout was not shown in Layout Selector control

Hi all,

I have created custom layout for forum by following this document:

I added a Forum group web part to test but new layout was not shown in Forum layout field. It still showed 2 default options: Flat and Tree.

So I open Form controls -> Forum layout selector control -> select View tab. There are 3 options in dropdownlist: Flat, Tree and new custom layout.

Did I miss any step to apply new layout to Forum layout field?

Changing 'Forum layout' field form control in 'Forum Group' web part from 'Forum layout selector' to another one, saving and changing it back to 'Forum layout selector' helped me.

In the form control the code name has to be the same as the folder name. So in the example it shows Custom as the directory, you need to make sure the value in the dropdown list is also Custom. Once you have done that, clear the restart the application in System and then you should see the new layout. Make sure there are no empty spaces at the end of the folder name.

Hi Brenden,

I am sure that folder name and dropdownlist value are the same. I also clear cache and restart application but no lucky. It still shows 2 defaul options.
