Creating a Kentico Relying Party for Claims-Based Authentication

Cleveland Metroparks asked on February 5, 2015 17:44

I am trying to follow the documentation for setup of claims-based authentication (via Active Directory Federation Services).

Step 2 says to "Configure the service so that it accepts your Kentico application as a relying party."

In order to do this, I need to know Kentico's

  • WS-Federation Passive Protocol URL
  • Relying Party SAML 2.0 SSO Service URL.

I cannot find this information in the documentation. Can you please help?

I'm going to suggest emailing support@kentico.com for this information. They would be able to help you further.

Hi Virgil and Cleveland,

Just recently I have configured ADFS authentificaton on my Kentico instance, I have recorded also a screencast of my configuration, could you please take a look at it? I believe you might find it useful.

Roman,

Thanks for that screencast, it will be helpful to us once we get past step 2 in the documentation. However, it doesn't answer our question as to how we set up ADFS to accept Kentico as a relying party. ADFS wants to know the

  • WS-Federation Passive Protocol URL
  • Relying Party SAML 2.0 SSO Service URL

of the relying party during the setup process, and I have not been able to find out what this is for Kentico.

Step #7 on this link is where we're stuck.
