CKeditor skin attempting to load from the old location after the 7 to 8 upgrade. \CMSAdminControls\C

Aaron Fickes asked on May 10, 2016 23:11

After performing the upgrade from 7 to 8 the admin is still looking for the old files and does not appear to be using the new ones.

/CMSAdminControls/CKEditor/skins/kentico/editor.css?t=E0LB (404)

/CMSAdminControls/CKEditor/skins/kentico/editor.css?t=E0LB (404)

The file /CMS/CMSAdminControls/CKeditor/config.js has the skin set to config.skin = 'moono', but it does not seem to be using this value based on where it is trying to load the files above.

Has anyone else ran into this during an upgrade? I did not receive an error during the upgrade process.

Thanks,

Chris

Clear the cache in your browsers settings and do a CTRL + F5 a few times. This should help your issue.

Thanks Brenden... I cleared my cache, but it just wanted to hold on to it.

Then typically the CTRL + F5 a few times will take care of that. Good to hear you got it working.

Hi Chris/Brenden,

Just wanted to share what I also do sometimes.

  1. Always test in a browser's incognito mode. You will never run into caching problem.
  2. I also try to reset an sort of server cache.

Thanks, Chetan
