Cannot remove a widget in PageBuilder using Chrome

Massimo Della Calce asked on July 22, 2021 12:29

Trying to delete a widget in the PageBuilder using Chrome, I get this warning: "A different origin subframe tried to create a JavaScript dialog. This is no longer allowed and was blocked". From Edge it works. Is there any way to resolve this issue?

Sorry for late reply. I was pout for a bit. The information about the version you are using was really important. The new Chrome version changed the behavior and we had to change our code too. This was fixed in the latest Kentico 12 hotfix:
Page builder - Certain page and form builder actions not working in the Chrome browser Actions in the page builder and form builder interface that opened confirmation dialogs did not work when using version 92.0.4515 or newer of the Chrome browser. For example, the problem occurred when deleting widgets and sections, or after canceling changes in a properties dialog. The following error was logged into the browser console: "A different origin subframe tried to create a javascript dialogue. This is no longer allowed and was blocked."

What version of Chrome are you using? I tried it with Kentico 12 and Xperience 13 (13.0.35) and it works without any issues with Chrome - using latest version.Did you install any Chrome plugins/extensions? I can imagine that they can affect this. I would recommend to try it again with clean Chrome browser in incognito mode with Dancing Goat MVC site.

I am working on the latest version: 92.0.4515.107. I've tried disabling all plugins/extensions and I've been working in incognito - it doesn't works as well.

Hmmm this is strange, what does it look like when you try this hosted demo site: https://us-03.kenticolab.com/Hosted_trial_14853_MVC (administrator with no password). It works fine for me. So, I would say it is browser instance related issue. I would maybe try re-installing Chrome from scratch.

On the site you suggested it works. Consider that I am using version 12. With Chrome version 91.0.4472.164 it also works well on Kentico XP 12. After updating the browser to the latest version, the problem occurs.
