Cannot create page from new exported Page Type

Hello,

I created a new page type on my dev site and tried exporting for the first time onto my staging site, the export went fine and the page type was showing with all the correct settings on my staging site but when I tried creating an instance of it the parent page type would not show it as an option.

Can you check if it's assigned to the current site?

Did you have any scopes defined that would limit it's use?
