Can You Set the Alternate Form of a Page Type by Role?

Mike Bilz asked on November 3, 2017 00:22

Hello Kentico Team,

I would like to alter the required fields of a blog post based on the current users role.

Is it possible to get Kentico to show an Alternate Form for the blog post to certain users, based on their assigned Role?

The Kentico Documentation makes it seem like this might be possible, but I couldn't find any concrete information on how to do it.

Thanks in advance.

If the webpart you're using has an alternative for selector, enter a macro check the role if the current user and output the specific alternative form code name you want to use.

Hi Brenden,

I was actually hoping to do this without adding a web part. Is there any way to set an alternative form for the "Add New (+)" button in the Pages app?
