Can't add page alias with dot in url

Targutai Yesugei asked on July 12, 2017 14:12

I need to save my old site url structure, so I need to attach to page an alias with "foo/bar.aspx" format but i can't do this, dot is changing to dash. How can I achieve my general goal and use aliases with dots?

Create alias path like foo/bar. It will handle .aspx extension automatically if you haven't configured Friendly URL extensions (https://docs.kentico.com/k8/configuring-kentico/configuring-page-urls/custom-and-extensionless-urls)

When you create your Page URL Alias, there is a separate field for the extension ("URL extensions"), you have to put "foo/bar" for the alias, and "aspx" for the extension. You can also put multiple semicolon seperated, such as aspx;html so both foo/bar.aspx and foo/bar.html work.
