Can media selection form control be configured

Brian Bailey asked on March 7, 2018 21:16

We are using the media selection form control for some custom fields as we like being able to use the media library and avoid attachments. Is there any way of changing the behavior of this control so that the attachment tabs don't appear? It currently has Attachments, Content, and Media libraries in the context of a custom field. We would like it to just have Media libraries if possible.

Thanks.

Hi Brian,

I'm not sure if that is possible for media selection form control, but what I usually do is to use 'URL selector' form control. In that way, when you click on 'Advanced' below dropdown, you can check/uncheck what do you want to show (like Brenden said).

Best regards, Dragoljub

Go to the field you have the control assigned to and right below the dropdown selector there is the ablity to see "Advanced" featurs. You can simply uncheck the attachments checkbox to hide that tab. This will work for the URL Selector, not sure about the Media selector.

Well yes with some effort. I've describe it here, but configure URL Selector is easier :)

Thanks for the fast response guys. Looks like URL selector does offer that configuration and media selection doesn't. I switched to URL selector and it gives me exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!
