Camera Slider

Ei Dar Li Ko Ko asked on January 9, 2015 09:41

I have downloaded and installed the camera slider app and inserted through the site. All files are inserted correctly. I have added the image folder to the content tree and set the camera slider path to it. But the slider is not showing any images. Is there any step I am missing?

Hello,

Would it be possible to clarify which version of Kentico you are using and which app you downloaded (and where)? In the meantime some suggestions for configuring the slider were mentioned here.

Best Regards,

Sandro

Hello,

When you said you set the camera slider to an image folder, do you mean Files or Camera slider items? You need to create camera slider items, since standard files don't support extra fields like effects or HTML content.

Yes through I have read the post on that mentioned above and create the CMS. CameraSlider inside the page type but it just create the file that can be inserted to the main corporate site. So I created a transformation inside the CMS.File but again it is not working.

I have solved the problem. I did not notice there is already slider camera item.. page type inside the page types... so after selecting on the page the slider camera item images can be inserted below the page. The page can be choosen as the path. However, what I am confuse is why the images can only be inserted to the page? If I choose the file from the content tree, the slider camera item does not appear to be inserted.

Hello,

After you import the package and assign the Slider camera item page type to your site (and set allowed types parent/child), you can go the the Pages application create as many Slider camera item pages as many images you have and then point this section as a target location for the Camera slider web part.

Hi, I am using the Slider Camera on Kentico 8.2, everything imported properly but nothing is loaded. When I inspected the element on Chrome, I can see javascript errors:

  • Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(...).camera is not a function(anonymous function) @ home.aspx:219j @ jquery.min.js:2k.fireWith @ jquery.min.js:2m.extend.ready @ jquery.min.js:2J @ jquery.min.js:2 GetResource.ashx?scriptfile=~%2fCMSWebParts%2fViewers%2fDateTime_files%2fDateTime.js:1
  • Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property '0' of nullstartTimer @ GetResource.ashx?scriptfile=~%2fCMSWebParts%2fViewers%2fDateTime_files%2fDateTime.js:1(anonymous function) @ home.aspx:85f @ GetResource.ashx?scriptfile=~%2fCMSScripts%2fmootools.js:1

how can I resolve these errors?

Hello,

Don't you have other jQuery libraries linked on that page? Could you please try to create a blank page that doesn't inherit anything including the master page and try the camera slider there.

Best regards,
Jan Hermann
