Building a poll web part

Sherry Collins asked on May 2, 2015 19:01

I need to build a poll widget for my home page. The end user wants to show the poll as long as there is a poll being conducted. If no poll is conducted then the content manager wants a way to just show a text box for comments. I am brand new to Kentico. I have built the poll widget and have built an on-line form with just a textbox that can be pulled onto the home page by the content manager.

My problem is how to control the width of the text box. I am from a c# world where styling is very simple. I am unable to find any place where I can cut the width of the text box.

Can anyone please help

There is already a Poll module and webpart built-in to Kentico, have you checked this out before creating your own?

Hi, i want to display only the poll question and it's related answer in our website. but don't want to display radio buttons and vote button in our website. So, how can i disable the radio buttons in poll webpart using custom poll.ascx inside cmswebpart folder.

Hello,

simply edit your poll and click the Now link next to the Open to property. This disallows visitors to vote, so only results are displayed.

Best regards,
