Breadcrumbs not showing parent directory

Jacob Mallach asked on July 16, 2021 17:39

Hello,

I'm having an issue where the breadcrumbs are not showing the parent directory. The breadcrumb url should be three levels (it's missing the 175-anniversary parent directory). I have no issues with other directories. The missing parent is a newly created page type, but i can't seem to see where or what would be causing the issue. Screen attached.

Thanks for the help.

Does the website have breadcrumbs across the entire site? Maybe it is on the master page, maybe check the design tab of the top level/root document.

Hi Jacob,

It looks like you are using Portal Engine, and using the Breadcrumbs webpart. Have you tried checking the the Page Types field has been set on the webpart?

You may need to add your new page type to the list:

Hi Liam,

I"m actually unable to access/edit the webpart from the Design tab. There is no configure button when I check out the file. Does this mean the breadcrumb webpart was added to the template perhaps from a greater master level?

Yes, i see it now in the master page. I've added my new page type to the breadcrumb webpart. And that fixed the issue. Thanks a bunch!

Depends what the rest of the webpart settings are really - is there a where condition set maybe?
