Azure Marketplace sample Xperience application deployment error

Hi Folks,

when I tried to deploy the sample Xperience application from Azure marketplace I got the below error.

Does anyone know what this is about?

Summary

Deployment template validation failed: 'The template resource 'Microsoft.Web/sites/kenticodemolivesite5kei4kwgjzocm' cannot reference itself. Please see https://aka.ms/arm-template-expressions/#reference for usage details.'. (Code: InvalidTemplate)

Is this a Xperience 12 MVC, Xperience 12 Portal, Xperience 13 MVC .Net, or Xperience 13 MVC.Net Core site? Based on that i can see if i can get you a deployment script we have.

Hi @trevor-fayas

I was just following these instruction from Version Xperince 13 doco:

I assume it's version 13, but it doesn't say whether its MVC or Portal

I wouldn't assume! Click the question mark icon on the top right menu bar within the administration areas, it will give the version number, tell me that!

Thanks for your response Trevor, however it's a Azure Market place item (Azure Marketplace distribution of a sample Xperience application), i.e. you deploy straight to Azure. Since I can't deploy I can't open it to find the version number. Apologies if I am not understanding you correctly :)

Ahh, this us pretty new, but from what I can see it only sets up the environment to host an instance.

Do you have a windows server? If you want to give me an email I can try to get you set up. tfayas@gmail.com. I have some baseline sites that I can get you started on.
