Any good recommended windows hosting for my Kentico site?

Chuck Louis asked on May 27, 2015 06:06

I am in japan and I am hosting with a US web host and my site runs slowly. I want to move my site to a Asian web host. Some people suggest me to host with zhuji91.com.hk or host4asp.net. I know little about these 2 companies so i want more options. Is there any other good recommendation?

Are you looking for shared hosting or dedicated? In my opinion, shared will always be slow because there are so many limitations.

I don't recommend GoDaddy at all. I've tried WinHost.com and had marginal success. I personally use an Arvixe VPS server and host several sites on it without issue. I have a few clients who use the Business Class ASP product. I also use Microsoft Azure. I've heard of A Small Orange as well and heard good things about them too.

Like Brenden, I use Arvixe. And have multiple VPS Servers, which gives me full control of the Operating System via Remote Desktop. I have never had a problem and have sites which are global.

For my small volume sites, I use SmarterASP.com - there support has been very helpful and knowledgable when I had a question. Prices are reasonable.

For anything high volume or for sites that need redundancy, you can't beat the Azure Pay-as-you-go plans. I just transferred a site to Azure that my client was paying more than $900/month for hosting. I was able to get that down to just under $400.

I don't mind Azure unfortunately the majority of it is based on usage so for budgeting purposes, it's hard to plan for if your traffic changes causing more data transfer, CPU usage, DTU usage, etc.
