accordion panel not working in Chrome

rjgd j asked on February 11, 2016 04:45

Hi I have a simple accordion that is working in Firefox but I can't get it to work on Chrome. I'm using it on a FAQ page and I can get the Questions to show but the Answer panes do not open when you click on the Question panes. Help? Thanks

Seems like more of a JavaScript, HTML or CSS issue. Have you tried F12 when you view it in Chrome? Do you receive any errors? What are you using for your accordion panel? jQuery, ajax, etc.?

Thanks, Brenden. Just to warn you, I'm a newbie to Kentico, so please bear with me. After I sent the message last night I checked Safari (IOS) and a couple mobile devices, and it's not working on those either. I'm used the AccordionLayout Web Part in Kentico and then styled using CSS. Would you recommend I troubleshoot by removing elements in the CSS that might be "conflicted?" I could show you the page if it would help....

As a follow up to your suggestion to look at the Chrome developers tools: I'm getting these 3 errors: 1.) Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property 'controltovalidate' of null 2.) Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'evaluationfunction' of null 3.) Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property 'dispose' of null Again, I didn't alter code associated with the Kentico AccordionLayout web part at all; just styled in CSS. Any help you can provide is appreciated! Thanks

Are you loading any custom javascript in? If so, try to comment it out(event the libraries) and see if the accordion works. Then place them back in one by one to see which one is causing the issue.

There is nothing I've loaded re. custom javascript but I'll will look into that since there are few of us working on the site. Thanks! Any other suggestions?

The accordion loads fine on Firefox and Safari with the OSX specs above. In an effort to find a potential solution, I've tested it on other devices as well, such as Internet Explorer and mobile devices. The accordion works fine on Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7, Safari browser iOS 9.0.2 on iPhone 6, and Chrome browser Android 5.0.1 on LG G3. Get the latest version of app from Vshare iOS app download.
