We've got a system up and running on Kentico 6. It's not out first site, it's one of many but for a change we were asked to enable the built in web analytics.
The permissions are correct and have been checked many times. NETWORK SERVICES has MODIFY permissions on the directory in question:
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\App_Data\CMSModules\WebAnalytics
The errors we're seeing all reference files that do not exist on this path:
Message: Access to the path 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\App_Data\CMSModules\WebAnalytics\pageviews_121202_1626.log' is denied.
There are absolutely no .log files on this path or in this directory.
Web analytics is active and was activated according to instructions. Everything appears to be 'normal' so the question becomes, where are the log files and why is this not working.
Oh, the client bought this license in August, 2012. When I emailed support@kentico.com I was told that direct support had expired for the license in question and that I would have to access support via the forums. Interesting for an enterprise license that's 4 months old to have expired support. Very interesting.
