Contact groups in Kentico CMS are objects enabling you to group contacts according to the required criteria. One contact can be contained in several different contact groups. Assignment to more contact groups at a time applies also to accounts. However, if a particular account is contained in a contact group, all its contacts belong to this group, too. Besides, contact groups can be site-specific or shared across more websites (global contact group). They are thus convenient for various marketing activities, e.g. for e-mail marketing.
