Top 10 Kentico Websites for April 2014

   —
Just one month after the release of the new version, we would like to introduce the first website created on Kentico 8 – have a look at Webcoda’s company site! And don’t forget to soak up the best April websites, a great variety of projects Kentico is the best fit for - ranging from successful e-commerce projects to appealing corporate websites built on Kentico EMS.
Webcoda chose to build their new corporate site on Kentico 8 because the old site was long overdue for a revamp and they needed it to be future-proof.
Development was as simple as with previous versions, but the overhauled administration area made it even simpler to update content. With the new Dashboard and the application filter, it is now much easier to jump between different parts of the administration quickly. The new social features are a huge improvement allowing us to post directly from Kentico to Facebook and Twitter. The next phase of the project will utilize the lead nurturing and the improved A/B testing features of EMS.

Schlitterbahn Waterparks & Resorts is based out of Texas and have five different locations.
One of the many things Ascedia was tasked with was coming up with the best way to easily display all locations and get people into the park of their choice quickly, as well as find important information easily and quickly. The new site is fully responsive and the majority of the content can be managed by the client through Kentico. The content slider seen on the home page (and other pages) is a mix of jQuery and Kentico document types. It can combine both images and videos. It uses a plugin called jquery.superslides for the slider and picturefill to resize the images. Custom document types are leveraged in several places and custom code is used to interact with them through the Kentico API. The team did an amazing job completing the project within a short period of time.
