Supporting Xperience by Kentico with the Kentico Community Portal

   —

When it comes to Xperience by Kentico, we have a new home for discussions, Q&A, news, blog posts, and the entire Kentico community - the Kentico Community Portal.

A Wonderful History

DevNet is a wonderful place and it has been helping Kentico developers get answers to tough questions for over 15 years πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘.

Kentico employees, partner developers, and customers have gathered here to share insights in the Q&A, read articles, stay up to date with hotfixes, and browse the Kentico marketplace.

I've spent a lot of time here too, going all the way back to 2014! (I started using Kentico in 2013, but I don't think I really knew what DevNet was for my first year).

Some might say that now, after 15 years, DevNet is legacy... (it still runs on Kentico Portal Engine πŸ§“). Instead, I'd say that DevNet is legendary 🦸🏽‍♀️.

Looking Forward

Today, Kentico has a brand new product - Xperience by Kentico - with a new product vision. To align with that vision, and avoid disrupting things here on DevNet, we've launched a new place to share questions, answers, and insights related to Xperience by Kentico for the entire Kentico community. That place is the Kentico Community Portal.

I wrote a short welcome blog post on the Kentico Community Portal that compliments this one and goes into a few more details.

The Community Portal is a brand new code base and solution running on Xperience by Kentico (version 27.0.2 at the time of this writing) and also hosted in our SaaS environment.

The source code for the Community Portal is also available to all of you to browse on our GitHub.

If you have questions about Xperience by Kentico, head on over to our new Q&A and ask away.

Just to clarify, DevNet is not going away. DevNet will continue to be the home for Kentico developers who are using Kentico Xperience 13 and all previous versions (going all the way back to Kentico 2 πŸ˜…). But, for everything related to Xperience by Kentico... head over the the Community Portal and join the early trailblazers.

Who knows, in 15 years you might be looking back and saying "I remember when I first joined the Kentico Community Portal" πŸ€—.
