Exhibiting at Microsoft Professional Developers Conference in LA

   —

We're back from the Microsoft PDC Event in LA, California USA

The 26 hours long journey was backbreaking, but finally we were more than happy to exhibit at the Professional Developers Conference (PDC) which has been Microsoft’s premier gathering of leading-edge developers and architects since 1991. Petr Palas (CEO), Michal Minarovic (Sales Director) and me, we all mostly took the care of our booth visitors, while our CTO – Martin Hejmanek was attending the sessions. His mission was to gather information about upcoming products and technologies and generally get himself inspired - all to assure that the development of Kentico CMS will always be reflecting the current trends. In case that you couldn’t see the sessions (like me) please find their list in here.

Our booth was advantageously placed close to the area of Partner Expo Reception, just opposite to the booth of Identity Mine, where Meaghan McAllister showed their eye-catchy application that was using the magical Microsoft Surface technology. Naturally we can’t say exactly how many visitors stopped by our booth, but just in the first day of the conference we gave away more than 800 stress relieving balls (useful for developers when debugging code at 3am). Just in this initial day we made more than 15 demos and we were happy to greet and talk to some of our current partners and customers like Rob Gillen from Argo Web Services (in the middle of the picture), Kharis Eubanks from Cramer, Scott Cate from Arizona .NET User Group, Allan Rwakatungu from MTN Uganda and many others. Thank you for visiting us guys and hope to see you again soon!

Tuesday night brought us the break from the busy day at exhibition with the Attendee party in Universal studios. The picture on the right shows how we nearly lost our CTO in one of the Scare Zones at the studios. The conclusions of the party? Kentico team’s best rated attraction was The Simpsons Ride. And I would never ever, never ever go alone to the House of Horrors. ;)

If you like to see few of our photos from the Event, please navigate to Flickr or to our Facebook Kentico CMS page.

To sum it up, our presence at Microsoft PDC really exceeded our expectations We look forward to the upcoming Gilbane Boston conference at the beginning of December and, of course, to the next PDC!

Thanks John, as you said - monkey was nice on the picture, the issue was me. My girlfriend told me that I'm looking there as 14-years old and Kentico can be sued for child labor abuse ;)
