Exhibiting at Gilbane Boston 2008 Conference
Kentico exhibited at the CMS Pros Fall Summit and Gilbane Conference in Boston.
Traveling to the East Coast is much more convenient for us Europeans, so we had no jet lag on the first day at the pre-conference event, which was the
CMS Pro Fall summit. Keynotes were interesting, Expert panel contributing and we got really sweat at the Content Lifecycle Poster Workshop. (I'm looking forward how
the official and final version will look like). Roundtable Discussions simply made my day, since the topic I choose was “
Social Networking”, which is the direction the current version of Kentico CMS is going. At the end of the summit, Eric Webb took the chance to present our solution to the audience. For the next days, he changed his title "Director of business development" to "Mr. Kentico" (my mistake when filling the "Title" text field in the registration form ;) ) and the Gilbane conference could begin.
There were about 14 different CMS vendors in the showroom, but the atmosphere was really friendly, without any trace of competitiveness.
We didn't only get many valuable leads at the conference, but we were also visited by our partner companies from all around. Let me name at least the guys from
Amplify Studios - Ian Muir and Erik Bertrand (as you can see them in the picture together with Eric and Petr).
In brief, the Gilbane conference wasn't as busy as PDC, but the visitors were really involved in
CMS solutions and a most of them had already great overview of the market.
We spent the rest of the week by visiting our partners in the area.
Cramer in Norwood,
Verndale in the Boston city centre and finally the
Wakefly in Westborough. We really enjoyed all of these visits and each of them brought us new impulsions. We have to continue with this practice to keep the close relationship with our partners.
Let me wish
happy holidays to all readers of our blogs!
