Brno is a Centre of Excellence. And Kentico Proves it.

Welcome to Brno - the city that blends a rich history with modern innovation. Situated in the heart of Europe, Brno is a hub of universities, businesses, and technology that puts it in a league of its own as a Centre of Excellence.

Brno is home to almost 90,000 higher education students spread across six universities, while also housing various research and development institutions, including the Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC) and the International Clinical Research Centre (ICRC). This is merely the next generation of excellence in a city shaped by famous historical characters from Ernst Mach to Leoš Janáček to Milan Kundera, and let’s not forget the father of genetics, Gregor Johann Mendel.

In 2015, another son of Southern Moravia, Petr Palas, and his company, Kentico, are leading the way for companies looking to manage the digital experience of their customers around the globe. Kentico is an all-in-one CMS, E-commerce, and Online Marketing platform available for Microsoft ASP.NET and a genuinely unique offering in the IT world.

On July 20, 2015, Kentico are proud to be general partners of Mendel: The Legacy, a state-of-the-art visual and orchestral spectacular celebrating 150 years since Gregor Johann Mendel first discovered the principles of genetics. Major scientific institutions across five continents unite in a global celebration of the vision of one man, a man whose discoveries helped shape the world we live in today. Mendel: The Legacy broadcasts live from Brno, the Czech Republic, the place where the father of genetics first formulated his ideas and the hub of an innovative spirit that continues to this day, led by IT visionary, Petr Palas.

The future is bright for Kentico and Brno with the continued emergence of innovative individuals, proving that Brno is truly a global Centre of Excellence.
